Football Rules: Player to Score a Header
Market description: Predict a player from the options listed to score a header in the match.
1. Bets are settled on the events that occur in normal time. This includes any injury/stoppage time added on by the match official at the end of normal time.
2. Extra time doesn't count.
3. Own goals don't count as a header in any market offered on headed goals, whether the market is for a named player or for an unspecified player.
4. If the selected player doesn't start the match and enters the field at any time, bets placed on that player will stand.
5. If the selected player leaves the field of play without scoring a header, bets placed on that player in this market will have lost and will be settled as losers.
6. If the selected player takes no part in the match, bets placed on that player in this market will be void.
7. If a match is postponed, normal postponed match rules apply.
8. If a match is abandoned, normal abandoned match rules apply.
- If the selected player has scored a header in the time played before abandonment, bets placed on that player in this market will have already won and will be settled as winners.
- If the selected player has left the field of play without scoring a header in the time played before abandonment, bets placed on that player in this market will have already lost and will be settled as losers.
- If the selected player is still on the field of play and hasn't scored a header at the time of abandonment bets placed on that player in this market will be void because the match didn't play for the full duration.
9. Settlement of all stats markets will be based on data provided by OPTA (Part of the Stats Perform Group).
- OPTA stats are available here.
- OPTA may occasionally go back and make amendments to ensure accuracy. We'll settle all markets based on their final decision.
- Adjustments to the settlement of markets won't be made for changes or adjudications made by governing bodies after the event.
- OPTA have a long-established list of ‘Event Definitions’ which are adhered to across all of their data collection centres. They can be accessed here.
