DISCLAIMER: We'll update the list at least 24 to 48 hours before each race.

Q: What bet types are available and how do I place these?

However, you won't be limited to these two bet types as you can place different types of multiple bets as well!

Need further guidance? Click here.

Q: Why can't I 'Cash Out'?

A: The Cash Out function might not be available for a number of reasons.

The most common ones are:

  • Any bets placed that involve a Horse Racing selection, won't be available for Cash Out between the hours of 22:00 and 08:00 GMT.
  • Betting is suspended or unavailable on one (1) or more unsettled selection within a bet.
  • Price Boost, #YourOdds and Price Boost - Flash markets don't qualify for Cash Out.
  • When there's an obvious pricing error (also known as palpable error).
  • Cash Out option is only available for selected betting markets.
  • Accumulator bets (e.g if there's a selection which isn't available for Cash Out, the whole bet won't be available for Cash Out).
  • Each Way bets don't qualify for Cash Out.
  • Cash Out may be affected if your bet triggers a free bet promotion. See individual promotional terms for details.

Q: I'm having problems logging in. What should I do?

A: Not to worry! Click here and enter your email address or username, then click on 'Send password reset link' to receive a password reset link in your email inbox.

You can also watch our video here to guide you further.

Q: I need to verify my account. How do I do it?

A: The quickest and easiest way to verify your account is by uploading your documents via Live Chat.

Just click here to know more about Verification and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.

Q: I've now reopened my account and I need to deposit so I can bet. How and what payment methods can I use to deposit?

A: You can check the list of payment methods you can use on your William Hill account here.

We also have a quick deposit function for easier deposit journey. Find out how here.

REMINDER: Customers must ensure that the correct details are used when you register your debit card on your account.

If the details used are incorrect, you won't be able to deposit via this payment method.

Q: I'm unable to register my debit card due to an existing account. What should I do?

A: Note that the same payment method can only be registered to 1 account.

If you have an existing account with your preferred payment method registered, you'll need to contact us via Live Chat.

Q: How long does it take to get my winnings?

A: Withdrawals by Debit Cards take 1 - 3 working days while Bank Transfers 3 - 5 working days.

Weekends aren't counted as working days.

Click here for more information on your payment method's withdrawal timeframe.

Q: Is there any way I can get my withdrawal quicker?

A: Yes, there is. Just use a compatible Visa Direct card and your withdrawal will be credited within four (4) hours (but could be longer at times) - even on weekends or holidays!

Just a note though - you'll always need to withdraw to the card you deposited from.

If you're interested in using this payment method, click here.

Q: I want to withdraw my winnings. Why are you asking for documents?

A: It's for security reasons as we need to make sure you're the one withdrawing your winnings.

Some of the common reasons are:

  • You're withdrawing via a method different to your deposit method.
  • You're making a large withdrawal.
  • You might be using a payment method not belonging to yourself.
  • Your account has been inactive for a period of time.

No need to worry - we'll just need some documents and we'll sort it out as fast as we can.

For more information, click here.

Q: I've changed my mind and I want to reverse my withdrawal. Can I do it?

A: If you're a UK customer, unfortunately you're no longer allowed to reverse any withdrawal you've made. This is due to the guidance of the Gambling Commission as of 30th June 2020.

If you're a non-UK customer, you'll still be able to reverse your withdrawal request while it's showing as 'pending' (more details here).

However, note that since we’ve shortened our processing times to support Visa Direct, reverse withdrawal windows for all card withdrawals have also been reduced (more information here).

HORSE RACING RULES

Click on the tabs below to know more about the common rules of horse race betting:

A Rule 4 deduction is an industry-wide practice applied on a racing bet when a horse is withdrawn from the race.

When a horse withdraws, the remaining horses now each have a better chance of winning.

If there’s time, bookmakers will adjust the prices available so any new bets placed reflect this increased chance.

If we've captured your bet before the horse withdraws and your bet goes on to win, we need to adjust your returns.

Need an example on how it works? Just click here.

In horse racing, a Dead Heat is when 2 or more selections cannot be separated by the Judge, even after consulting the photo finish.

To calculate your returns, just divide your stake by the number of selections involved in the dead heat.

Need an example? Just click here.

Q: My horse hasn’t run/ran on a different race at the festival and it’s been settled as a loser. Why?

A: There's a different settlement rule for 'Antepost' and 'Non Runner Money Back (NRMB)' markets:

  • For Antepost bets, it's a losing bet based on our Antepost Betting Rules. Some customers like to take this chance in exchange for Antepost prices, which are often higher than prices available nearer the time of the race.
  • For Non Runner Money Backbets placed 48 hours before each race, it's void and the stake shall be refunded.

REMINDERS: First Past the Post and William Hill Fair Play concessions are NOT available during the Grand National.

WEBSITE QUEUEING SYSTEM

Q: Why is there a queue/landing page?

A: This website queueing system will be implemented to help regulate the number of people on the site at any time.

This is to make sure that the site will perform at its best, especially during a big event as the Grand National.

Q: Why is the waiting time so long/Why is the site taking so long to load?

A: We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause, but the waiting time will depend on how many people are visiting the site at the same time as you are.

Q: I've missed to place a bet because of this.

A: We're afraid we don't have control over how long you have to wait on queue.

The best thing you can do is to place your bets in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
