Bets on individual races | |
Pick the winner of the race to win a share of the totewin pool.
- This bet is available on all races and all meetings.
- It is the tote equivalent of a win single.
Pick a horse to be placed in the race to win a share of the toteplace pool.
- The selection needs to be placed according to the place terms of that race. For example, 8 runners would mean that 3 places would be paid, which is in line with current fixed odds betting rules.
- Unlike fixed odds betting where the place returns a fraction, such as 1/5 or 1/4 odds, the toteplace bet pays from a separate pool with its own dividend.
- Unlike an each-way fixed odds bet, a toteplace bet does not have to be combined with a totewin bet, so you can back a horse to place only or have a place bet larger than the win bet.
Pick the horses to finish 1st and 2nd in the correct order.
- The equivalent fixed odds bet is a forecast.
- As with forecast betting, you can place a reverse toteexacta on two selections or a combination toteexacta on three or more selections to increase your chances of winning.
- Un-named selections (e.g. un-named favourite) are not accepted for toteexactas.
Pick the horses to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the correct order in a totetrifecta race.
- The equivalent fixed odds bet is a tricast.
- totetrifectas are accepted in UK races nominated by totepool with three or more declared runners.
- Three or more selections can be permed to make a combination totetrifecta which would be the equivalent of a combination tricast.
- Un-named selections (e.g. un-named favourite) are not accepted for totetrifectas.
Pick two horses to finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any order.
- This bet has no equivalent in fixed odds betting.
- Your selections could finish 2nd and 3rd and your bet would win.
- After the race three separate dividends are returned:
-
- 1st & 2nd
- 2nd & 3rd
- 1st & 3rd

Select the winner in each of the 6 races at the Jackpot meeting.
- The tote will nominate one meeting per day which they predict will offer the most interesting racing to be the totejackpot meeting.
- The 6 races will be the first 6 races of the meeting unless otherwise stated.
- You can choose more than one horse in each race to increase your chance of winning. This will increase the total number of lines. For example, if you have two selections in each of the six races, you would have 64 lines (2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2).
- Note: The totejackpot is not available on Saturdays when it is replaced by the totescoop6.
Select a horse to be placed in each of the six races at a placepot meeting.
- The placepot is available on every UK meeting.
- Like the totejackpot bet, this will be the first 6 races of the meeting unless otherwise stated.
- You can choose more than one horse in each race to increase your chance of winning. This will increase the total number of lines. For example, if you have two selections in three races and one in the other three, you would have 8 lines (2 x 2 x 2 x 1 x 1 x 1).
Select a horse to be placed in each of the last four placepot races of any meeting.
- A quadpot is like a placepot bet but instead of being on all six placepot legs at a meeting, it is on the last four legs. So it will always be races 3 – 6 on the card.
- totequadpot is available on the same meetings as toteplacepot.
- totequadpot gives you an extra chance to win if your placepot goes down before the third race or if you miss the start of the meeting.
- You can choose more than one horse in each race to increase your chance of winning. This will increase the total number of lines. For example, if you have four selections in the first race, three in the second race, two in the third race and and one in the last race, you would have 24 lines (4 x 3 x 2 x 1).
Pick a horse to win in each of the nominated Scoop 6 races. The totescoop6 is operated on Saturdays only and has been created with TV audiences in mind. The bet operates over 6 races nominated by the tote.
- The totescoop6 pool is separated into three funds:
-
- The win fund
- The place fund
- The bonus fund
- If a you pick all 6 winners you will win a share of the win fund and the place fund and can register to pick a horse for the bonus race which will take place on the following Saturday to win a share of the bonus fund.
- If all your selections are placed in each of the nominated races, you will receive a place fund dividend.
