How to Unblock your IP Address
If your IP address has been blocked here are a few things you can check...
We suggest doing an IP trace (if you are unsure what your current IP is, please go to (http://whatismyipaddress.com), and then verify which country your connection is being routed to by using Maxmind (http://www.maxmind.com/en/home).
If your IP address showing routed to the US, follow the simple step by step instructions below for your particular device, (if the result shows your IP is NOT routed to the US click here):
Desktop computer:
1. Contact your network provider and tell them the problem you're having, (as your internet provider they're responsible for routing your IP), or
2. If you use your computer in work or it is your work computer, you may have to contact their network administrator for assistance.
Mobile/iPad/Kindle:
Choose from the Browser options below:
- Chrome - this browser uses data compression features, which rely on cloud or proxy services. In these cases it is likely that this is routing your traffic through the US at some point causing you to be blocked. One option would be to turn off this feature or try another browser which doesn't have these features such as Safari.
- Puffin - Try accessing the site using another browser such as Safari or Mozilla.
- Silk (Kindle) - Click here and follow Amazon's instructions to disable the software.
Another reason for your IP address being blocked could be that you're running some additional security software such as Onavo. This kind of software could be routing your traffic through the US, to disable this software…
Choose from the following Operating Systems:
1. For Android, you can turn this off by selecting Settings>Apps> Choose the specific application, then select 'Disable'
OR
2. For iOS, you can turn this off by double tapping the Home button to launch the fast app switcher.
OR
If Onavo isn't installed or the above solution didn't work, you might need to make sure you don't have any similar apps running on your device. This is because additional security software might be routing your traffic through the US. (If you turn this software off to access our site, please make sure you remember to switch it back-on for your own security).
If none of the above solutions allows you access to our site, it would be best to contact your Internet Service Provider (BTinternet/Sky/Virgin etc.) and explain the situation. Make sure you explain that the IP address you have appears to have been registered to the US in the past and it's affecting your ability to access websites that have US restrictions. Unfortunately we can't fix this from our end.
If the result of the search shows your connection is NOT being routed to the US:
Please give us the following information and we'll pass the issue to our Technical specialists for further checking:
