Football Rules: Half Betting / Half Betting Live

Half Betting

Market description: Predict the result of a specified half of a match from: home win | draw | away win, sometimes denoted on our website/coupons as 1 | X | 2.

  • Example: Half time result: Everton 2-0 Arsenal
  • Full time result: Everton 2-1 Arsenal
  • First half winning selection: Everton
  • Second half winning selection: Arsenal

1. Bets are settled only on the events that occur in the specified half of the match. This includes any injury/stoppage time added on by the match official at the end of normal time.

2. The events that occur in the other half of the match and extra time don't count unless otherwise stated.

3. If a match is postponed, normal postponed match rules apply.

4. If a match is abandoned during the specified half, normal abandoned match rules apply.

  • If a match is abandoned after the specified half, bets placed on this market will stand - win or lose.

5. Settlement of all stats markets will be based on data provided by OPTA (Part of the Stats Perform Group).

  • OPTA stats are available here.
  • OPTA may occasionally go back and make amendments to ensure accuracy. We'll settle all markets based on their final decision.
  • Adjustments to the settlement of markets won't be made for changes or adjudications made by governing bodies after the event.
  • OPTA have a long-established list of ‘Event Definitions’ which are adhered to across all of their data collection centres. They can be accessed here.
