UK & Irish Horse Racing Rules: Stewards Enquiry
Stewards Enquiry
- A Stewards Enquiry is held into the running of a race where there was a potential breach of the rules of racing.
- During the enquiry, the Stewards will review the running of the race to establish whether or not the rules were broken.
- If the Stewards decide that there's a breach of the rules that influenced the result of that race, they have the authority to amend the result accordingly.
- The settlement of bets will be delayed pending the outcome of a Stewards Enquiry.
- If a Stewards Enquiry amends the race result, then our rules on First Past The Post will apply.
