Gaming: What's a wagering requirement?

Here's a summary of how it works:

When you opt in to a gaming promotion, it's likely that there's a Wagering Requirement that you must meet before being able to withdraw your bonus winnings.

What's a wagering requirement?

A Wagering Requirement requires you to wager a certain amount on the game/s specified within the terms and conditions of the promotion before your Bonus Balance is transferred into your main balance.

The Wagering Requirement amount is dependent on two (2) things:

1. The initial bonus amount.

2. The wagering requirement stated in the terms and conditions of the promotion.

Example: there's a promotion where you receive a £5 bonus but must fulfil a wagering requirement of 10x, you must wager a minimum of £50 within the specified game/s before you can withdraw your £5 bonus.

If you stake £1, this would be deducted from the Wagering Requirement and you would need to stake a further £49 (i.e. £50 – £1 = £49) before you could withdraw any Bonus Funds.

After the Wagering Requirement is met, your bonus winnings will transfer from your Bonus Balance to your main balance.

NOTE: For some promotions, stakes on certain games may only reduce the remaining Wagering Requirement by a certain percentage of the original stake.

With roulette in the above example, you can see the contribution is between 0-50%.

Although this may look confusing, this is all dependant on how much of the table you cover.

Below table lists the changes in stake contribution depending on the table coverage:

All Roulette games
Table Coverage Percent
Stake Contribution
Low Table Coverage bet:
0-25%
50%
Medium Table Coverage bet:
25.1 – 48%
25%
High Table Coverage bet:
48.1 – 100%
0%

What the above means is, if you cover between 1% and 25% of the table (5 straight up numbers for example), then 50% of your stake will contribute to the wagering.

Therefore, for every £1 you stake covering five numbers, 0.50 will contribute towards the wagering, leaving you with £19.50 remaining if you had to wager £20 to begin with.

For medium coverage, which could include for example column bets covering 33% of the board, 25% of the stake will contribute.

Therefore, for every £1 you stake, 0.25 will count towards your wagering. For high table coverage on this promotion, none of your stakes would contribute.

This means your wagering would not lower.
