Win: Select a runner to finish first.

Place: Select a runner to finish first or second.

Show: Select a runner to finish first, second or third.

Exacta: Select two runners to finish first and second in the correct order. More than two runners can be selected but this will increase the number of bets.

Quinella: Select two runners to finish first and second in any order. More than two runners can be selected but this will increase the number of bets.

Trifecta: Select three runners to finish first, second and third in the correct order. More than three runners can be selected but this will increase the number of bets.

Superfecta: Select four runners to finish first, second, third and fourth in the correct order. More than four runners can be selected but this will increase the number of bets.

Daily Double: Select runners to win each of two consecutive races. Both selections must win for a dividend to be declared. Selections in each race can be permed but this will increase the number of bets.

Pick 3: Select runners to win each of three consecutive races. All selections must win for a dividend to be declared. Selections in each race can be permed but this will increase the number of bets.

Pick 4: Select runners to win each of four consecutive races. All selections must win for a dividend to be declared. Selections in each race can be permed but this will increase the number of bets.

Pick 6: Select runners to win each of six consecutive races. All selections must win for a dividend to be declared. Selections in each race can be permed but this will increase the number of bets.

Pick 9 / Pick All: Select runners to win or place in each of between eight and twelve consecutive races. All selections must win or place for a dividend to be declared. Selections in each race can be permed but this will increase the number of bets. It should be noted that the option to payout on win or place is racetrack dependant, some racetracks only pay out for wins, others payout on win or place.
