Football Rules: Team to Score
Market description: Predict whether or not a nominated team will score in a match.
1. Bets are settled on the events that occur in normal time. This includes any injury/stoppage time added on by the match official at the end of normal time.
2. Extra time doesn't count.
3. If a match is postponed, normal postponed match rules apply.
4. If a match is abandoned, normal abandoned match rules apply.
- If the nominated team has scored in the time played before abandonment, bets placed on that outcome in this market will have already won and settled as winners. Bets placed on the other outcome in this market will have already lost.
- If the nominated team hasn't scored in the time played before abandonment, bets placed will be void, subject to normal abandoned match rules, because the match didn't play for the full duration.
5. Settlement of all stats markets will be based on data provided by OPTA (Part of the Stats Perform Group).
- OPTA stats are available here.
- OPTA may occasionally go back and make amendments to ensure accuracy. We'll settle all markets based on their final decision.
- Adjustments to the settlement of markets won't be made for changes or adjudications made by governing bodies after the event.
- OPTA have a long-established list of ‘Event Definitions’ which are adhered to across all of their data collection centres. They can be accessed here.
