UK & Irish Horse Racing Rules: Specials
- With the exception of bets placed on an individual race meeting in the Favourite Performance market or Winning Distance market, where one or more of the individual components of a bet are void, or don't participate, bets will be settled on the remaining components using the combined odds for each individual component of the bet.
- Where we offer Price Boost on a specific selection for a limited period of time, it's on the understanding that all runners will participate in the race.
- In the event of any non-runners, a Rule 4 deduction may be applied to winning bets.
Market description: Select which horse will achieve the best finishing position in the given race.
1. Bets are accepted for horse race meetings held under the rules of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and are settled on the official result.
2. Bets are accepted at the advertised special price. All odds are subject to fluctuation and bets placed will be settled at the price at the time the bet was confirmed.
3. If either horse is withdrawn from the race before coming under starter’s orders, bets placed on this market will be void.
4. If the selected horses finish in a dead heat for first place, the stake will be divided equally by the number of horses involved in that dead heat.
-
Example: If a £10 bet is placed on a horse priced at evs in this market that is involved in a dead heat of two for first place, the stake will be divided equally across first and second place and will return £10.
5. If either horse is withdrawn from the race after coming under starter’s orders, bets placed on this market will have lost as the horse will be deemed to have been a participant in the race.
6. If either horse doesn't finish a race with hurdles/fences, the number of hurdles/fences successfully completed in the race will determine the winner.
7. If either horse doesn't finish the race and each has successfully completed the same number of hurdles/fences, bets placed on this market will be void.
8. If both horses don't finish a race without hurdles/fences, bets placed on this market will be void
9. If a race is abandoned or declared void bets placed on that race will be void.
10. Adjustments to settlement won't be made for amended results or adjudications made by governing bodies after the weigh-in when the official result is declared.
