Gaming can be harmful if it isn't controlled.
Following the lockdown, The Gambling Commission (the gambling regulator of Great Britain) issued new guidance to all online operators to provide extra player protection by ensuring that we interact with you when you’ve been playing for an hour in a single session of play.
As a result, we’ve made some changes to our gaming ‘session time reminders’ feature for UK customers:
- We've removed all options exceeding one (1) hour from the session time reminders options within your Gambling Controls.
- It's now compulsory to set a session time reminder of maximum one (1) hour on your account.
- As of 20 July 2020, we introduced compulsory reminders within all our Live Casino games. If you don’t already have a reminder of maximum one (1) hour, you’ll be prompted to set one the first time you play on Live Casino.
- The changes apply to all customers registered as living in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- All operators in Great Britain will soon be making similar changes, in line with the new guidance.
Which products do Session Time Reminders apply to?
Vegas, Games, Casino and Bingo.
Live Casino reminders are managed separately, from within the ‘Settings’ of any Live Casino game.

Session Time Reminders vs Gaming Time Reminders - what's the difference?
They're the same thing.
We’re just in the process of releasing some changes to our Safer Gambling tools, so what you see may vary a little depending on which site or device you're using.
We hope these changes will simplify and improve your experience, so please bear with us as we work to align everything over the coming months.
Why are my session time reminders appearing more often than they used to?
If you already had a session time reminder set, but it was set at intervals of more than one (1) hour, we’ve automatically replaced it with a one (1) hour reminder.
During my game play, I’m getting pop-ups that say ‘Reality Check’ – what are they?
These are your session time reminder pop-ups. ‘Reality Check’ is just a different term used by some of our gaming providers.
