UK & Irish Greyhound Rules: Betting Markets

Betting Without

Market description: Predict the result of a given race excluding a named greyhound.

  • The finishing position of the named greyhound will be ignored for bets placed on this market.
  • Example: A bet placed on "Southwood Jet without Gonzo" will win if:
  • "Southwood Jet" wins the race and/or
  • "Southwood Jet" finishes second to "Gonzo".
  • The bet will have lost in all other circumstances.

1. Bets are accepted at the advertised special price.

  • All odds are subject to fluctuation and bets placed will be settled at the price at the time the bet was confirmed.

2. If the selected greyhound finishes in a dead heat for first place, the stake will be divided equally by the number of greyhounds involved in that dead heat.

  • Example: If a £10 bet is placed on a greyhound priced at 3/1 that is involved in a dead heat of two, the stake will be divided equally across first and second place and will return £20.

3. If the selected greyhound is withdrawn from the race, bets placed on that greyhound will be void.

4. If any other greyhound is withdrawn from the race, all bets placed on the market previous to the withdrawal will be declared void.

5. If the excluded greyhound is withdrawn, bets placed on this market will be settled as an SP win single on the greyhound selected.

6. If a race is abandoned, declared void or has fewer than five (5) runners, bets placed on that race in this market will be void.

7. Adjustments to settlement won't be made for amended results or adjudications made by governing bodies after the official result is declared.
