Why are the returns for my bet lower than I expected?
There are a number of factors which can affect the returns on a bet. For example:
- If your bet has been placed using a free bet then your free bet stake not included in any winnings. The estimated return on the Bet Slip indicates returns with stake.
- A Rule 4 deduction could apply to a horse race if there have been withdrawn runners. Our Results Page will show information regarding Rule 4 deductions.
- A Dead Heat could apply to a race or event where two or more competitors tied. Our Results Page will show the finishing positions so you can tell if there has been a tie.
- The price shown on your bet details may be a decimal price, which indicates the potential returns including your stake. For example, if the price shown for your selection is 4.00, it is a decimal price equivalent to 3/1.
