How are my withdrawals processed?

If you have just one registered payment method:

  • If you have a single payment method linked to your account your withdrawal will be sent back to that same payment method.
  • If the payment method you have used is non-withdrawable, your withdrawal will be issued by bank transfer. We may also ask you for identification documentation in order to issue a bank transfer, so please provide the documents as soon as possible to prevent delay to your withdrawal.

If you have multiple registered payment methods:

  • If you have several payment methods linked to your account, our system knows which one has had more money deposited than withdrawn (your 'net deposit').
  • The payment method with the highest 'net deposit' will be the method the system will try to send your money back to.
  • The reason our payments system works like this is due to many different online legislations and governing body guidelines that have been put in place to reduce online fraud, chargebacks and money laundering.

To simplify the withdrawal process we recommend the following:

  • Remove any inactive payment methods
  • Keep all card details up to date
  • Have three or less payment methods on your William Hill account

If you're not a UK customer, you'll be able to reverse your withdrawal request while it's still showing as 'pending' (click here for more information).
